Here’s the Left of Lansing “Monday Short” for August 19, 2024.
Vice President Kamala Harris introduced a rather solid populist, progressive, common sense, and popular economic agenda last week.
Tax breaks to build three-million homes, $25k to help first-time homeowners with a down payment, $6k if a low-income and middle class family has a baby, an a $36-hundred child tax credit extension.
Harris’s populist tone has put the MAGA Trump/Vance on the defensive as they defend corporate price gouging, and declare their opposition to her plans.
It’s a smart, bold, but wise strategy.
Democrats are getting back to their working class roots.
