This week, I highlight the work Rep. Betsy Coffia has done to improve the lives of all Michiganders, and one particular way is by creating a new school transportation fund as part of the recently-passed School Aid Budget. Governor Whitmer is expected to sign both the school and omnibus budgets into law.

This new school transportation fund helps level the playing field for rural school districts, and helps these districts spend more on actual education rather than expensive transportation costs.

Rep. Coffia is demonstrating real, common sense, and progressive leadership that is helping families, which ultimately helps all Michiganders.
